Welcome to

The Advocacy Mom

Hi, I'm Susan Arevalo.

I'm a special education advocate, certified life coach, and mom who understands that raising a child with unique needs can be both rewarding and overwhelming.

Whether you're preparing for an IEP meeting, trying to understand your child's rights, navigating Regional Center services, or simply feeling lost in the special education system, you don't have to do it alone.

My mission is to empower parents with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to become their child's strongest advocate.

Advocacy isn't about fighting schools.

It's about building collaborative relationships, understanding the law, asking the right questions, and ensuring every child receives the support they deserve.

Here you'll find guidance, resources, workshops, and one-on-one advocacy designed to help you confidently navigate every step of your journey.

Together, we can turn confusion into clarity and fear into confidence.

Every child deserves an advocate. Every parent deserves support.

Let's walk this journey together.

Hi, I'm Susan Arevalo, a certified life coach, leadership trainer, family empowerment coach, homeschool parent, and passionate advocate for families raising children with special needs.

My passion for advocacy began through my own journey as the mother of an incredible son with Down syndrome. Along the way, I've learned that while every family's path is unique, no parent should have to navigate it alone.

I combine professional coaching with lived experience to help parents confidently navigate special education, homeschooling, advocacy, emotional resilience, and the everyday challenges of raising a child with unique needs. Through faith-based encouragement, practical strategies, and compassionate support, I equip families with the knowledge and confidence to advocate effectively and help their children thrive.

Whether you're preparing for an IEP meeting, exploring homeschooling, seeking encouragement during a difficult season, or simply looking for someone who understands the journey, I'm here to walk alongside you.

My mission is simple: to help families replace overwhelm with confidence through faith, coaching, advocacy, and practical support.
